A day to remember

That would be yesterday
Me and the granddaughter and momma Carol went out fer a spell and ended up visiting her sister for a spell,,then her lil(BAWAHAAAA) brother,, picked fresh maters,,roastin ears and a 5 gal bucket of green beens.
Came home and fired up the grill,,put the lil on in her kiddy pool,,,sat under the shade tree,,sipped a few natties and listened to the ole beagle dawg chase a rabbit,,,didn't even turn the radio on,,a childs laffter and a singin beagle was plenty enuff. Supper was all that and more,,,,ribeyes,,,fresh maters,,fresh roastin ears,,cukes and onions,,tater salad,,followed by a cold slice of watermelon and an absolutely gorgeous sky painted by the hand of God,,,I felt like it was just for us...Bout dark I had a dozen fireworks left I had hidden back for something special,,,felt like it was the rite time to lite up the sky,,so we did that.
ZD is comin in today to pick up his baby girl,,,I gots to head out here in a bit,,guess she'll be gone when I get home,,but we,ve had her for a week and I,ve been able to be home every nite,,,,,so it's all good
Don,t take much to make this ole grumpy forker happy anymore,,,heck even got to spend some time with Pop in his garden.
